When people think of missionaries, they usually picture travelers preaching the gospel in distant, foreign lands. While sending missionaries abroad is important, it’s also important to send people across the street. Mars Hill Church desires to cultivate localized missionaries who will first reach their surrounding cultures and then branch out to the world.
The Acts 29 Network embodies the missional heart of Mars Hill, helping qualified leaders called by God to plant new churches and replant declining churches in our nation and around the world. The Acts 29 Network obeys the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) by starting churches: an effective, organic, and practical means of evangelism.
The Acts 29 Network is directly affiliated with Mars Hill in two ways. Pastor
Mark Driscoll is one of the founders of the Acts 29 Network, and Mars Hill Church supports the network with resources and finances.
